Shotgun Mic with Directional Sound Pickup
The Rode Vlogger Kit contains a VideoMicro, an unobtrusive companion for your smartphone with just 3" long and 1.5 ounces light. It features a cardioid polar pattern to focus on the sound in front and avoid unwanted background noise. Compared to internal mics of smartphones, the VideoMicro records sharper audio quality. This is thanks to its active electronics and directional condenser element. Its SC7 detachable coiled 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable makes it easy to mount the VideoMicro to any mobile device with a 3.5mm headphone port.
Portable Mounting Solution
With the Rode Vlogger Kit, it is easy to carry the phone around using the Rode SmartGrip. It is designed with a rugged metal construction and rubberized grip, suitable for mounting phones from 2.6 to 3.4" in width. It also has the DCS-1- an extra cold-shoe mount to easily attach VideoMics and other vlogging accessories.
Hybrid Tripod for Better Stability
Also included in the vlogger kit is the Tripod 2, a three-position tripod for mounting cameras, microphones, and other video accessories. It is a hybrid mount that can be used as a selfie stick and a tripod for more stable video shots.
On-Camera Light With Adjustable Brightness
The Rode Vlogger Kit also contains a compact and rechargeable MicroLED. This on-camera light is ideal for content creation, news reporting, or mobile filmmaking. It has an adjustable brightness setting, a clip-on diffuser, and eight colored filters to further expand your creativity. This is powered with an internal battery with up to four-hour run times or with a USB Type-C charging port.
